The 19th hole at Legends Golf & Safari Resort in South Africa is one of the world’s most insane par-3s, playable only by helicopter. The tee sits on top of Hanglip Mountain, about 1,300 feet above the green, and the ball takes nearly 30 seconds to land.

How much did it cost if you don’t mind sharing?

I believe that there are no known hole in one on this one. I would be super happy with just a GIR

IIRC you can win USD 1 million if you hit a hole on one.

Cool experience. I’d love to try it.

But also the king of all gimmicky holes.

When I first saw this a few years ago, I thought it was part of the 18 hole track. It thought it was stupid AF as it would kill the flow of a round, and also seems way too hard. I mean, how many people even come close to hitting that green?

But as a 19th hole bonus? I’d probably do it.

Every 10 yards of elevation I subtract from the distance and club down. So play whatever club goes -2000 yards

Hopefully he’s got a green repair tool on him…

Love that driver. I have it too. Nike slapped with their drivers.

Actually kind of shocked that they have people standing so close to the edge, when you’re swinging with momentum and it’s windy. Eeeek.

If you did hit the green, imagine the pitch mark

That’s cool and all but I would need to hit probably 20 balls to hit that green

This golf course has been closed down for years.

If you look at it on Google Earth it is already being reclaimed by the Savannah.

I use this same decade old Nike driver.

I’d hit 2 sleeves of provisionals and still need to drop

What’s the slope from the rangefinder on that?

I like walking courses but I’d draw the line with this one
